Answer: Thank you so much! Honestly, I still want to pinch myself to make sure it is not just a dream. I have been watching Miss Grand International for many years and I always visualized myself on that grandiose stage one day. I am so happy, grateful, and humble to be given the opportunity to become part of the Grand family!
Please tell me about yourself, where did you grow up and how was your childhood?
Answer: I grew up in a small city called Most in the Czech Republic. My childhood was very challenging and abusive, and that’s why I started my podcast to share my story with my followers, to show them that even if their life is hard now, they can still achieve their dreams.
What is your educational background? Why did you choose to study this subject?
Answer: I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, and I am currently studying for a Master’s Degree in this field, specializing in Child Psychology and Trauma. I am passionate about working with children and finding ways to make their lives better.
Have you joined any other beauty pageants before Miss Grand International?
Answer: No, I never joined an International Pageant on such a high level. Miss Grand International is the one and only.
Do you have any special talent? Please talk about your talent.
Answer: I am a singer and an actress. I love to express myself through my voice, writing songs, and acting on the camera.
If you could have one superpower, what would it be and why?
Answer: I would like to stop time. There are so many things that I wish, I could do in one day, but often I don’t have enough time! If I could stop time, I would be able to help more people, which is my biggest goal.
Who is the biggest inspiration in your life and why?
Answer: My biggest inspiration is my grandma, who raised me. She overcame so many challenges and obstacles in her life, and she raised me to be the confident woman that I am today.
If you can promote your hometown or country, how will you promote it to international people reading this interview?
Answer: My country is extremely beautiful. We have incredible nature and also lovely cities. Our capital, Prague, is a very historical city filled with castles, bridges, and cute little streets. Everyone who comes to the Czech Republic falls in love with it right away!
If you can give advice to a young version of yourself, what message will you give to yourself?
Answer: Be yourself! I would tell myself to be confident, keep smiling, and always be authentic and truly be me.
If you could have dinner with a famous person, who would it be and why?
Answer: There are so many people who inspire me and I would love to meet them. However, if I had to choose one, I would choose our ex-president Vaclav Havel. He is an inspiration in how he went against the communist regime, and how he stood for what he believed in him. I have many questions I would like to ask him.
Miss Grand International is celebrating the 10th Anniversary of its pageant this year, what made you decide to join Miss Grand International?
Answer: I always loved Miss Grand International, they have an amazing show, and they are GRAND. They have an amazing organization and structure. Also, Mr. Nawat and Mrs. Teresa are very kind people, and I knew I wanted to join their competition.
The 10th edition is happening in Indonesia this year, have you learned about the culture or language of Indonesia before going there?
Answer: I lived in Bali for 1 and a half years, so for me, it feels like coming home. I have become friends with many of the locals, as my boyfriend Axel and I distributed food regularly during the outbreak of Corona Virus when many locals lost their job in Indonesia. We have an amazing relationship with the locals, and I even know a bit of Bahasa Indonesia.
What are you most looking forward to in Miss Grand International 2022?
Answer: I am looking forward to representing the Czech Republic at such a grand pageant, it is both a privilege and a massive responsibility for me. I am also excited to meet girls from all around the world and make friendships that last a lifetime!
Tell us about your advocacy or charity work you have done before. Why is this project so important to you?
Answer: Ever since I was 15 years old, I knew I wanted to study Psychology and work with children. I frequently organized institutions for traumatized children, trying to find ways to make their lives better. I continue to do so with my boyfriend and I opened a Montessori preschool in Mymensingh, Bangladesh. I am also a certified Yoga instructor, and I frequently organize charity yoga events called “Yoga for a Good Cause”, where I raise money to build schools, and recently I have raised money for Ukrainian refugees to help them.
The slogan of Miss Grand International is “Stop the War and Violence”, How do you think we can stop the war and violence in this world?
Answer: In order to truly “Stop War and Violence”, we must focus on children, and provide each child with a safe environment and education. I have a Master’s Degree in Child Psychology, so I know that childhood trauma often leads to juvenile delinquency. Currently, there are millions of children around the world living on the streets. I opened a school for children in Bangladesh, and I hope to open many more around the world because I believe that children are our future & each child should have a chance in life!
How is your preparation going on for Miss Grand International 2022?
Answer: I am preparing in all aspects, to truly be the best version of myself! I am preparing my catwalk, styling, hair, and makeup, and my speaking skills. Most importantly I am working on being grounded and confident within myself so that I am calm and mentally ready when I arrive in Indonesia.
What do you think is your biggest strength?
Answer: I am a very kind, empathetic, strong, and charitable person. I have a really big heart and I hope that everyone will be able to see it. Also, I have a big love for Indonesian and Thai culture as I mentioned before, I spent a long time in both of these countries. I feel a strong connection with the people. I am very friendly and happy to meet new people and learn about their culture but mostly I am genuine. What you see and what you hear coming out of my mouth is not a pose to gain points. I put emphasis on the fact that a beauty queen should be real, truthful, kind, and charitable not to impress people but person who is real in nature with heart, and soul.
What is your message to people who are against beauty pageants?
Answer: I think they should not judge unless they have experienced it themselves. Pageants can be very empowering, and through advocacy, many women can help millions of people around the world. Therefore, they can be very beneficial and help humanity.
Miss Grand International winner will have to stay in Thailand during her reign, are you ready to move to Thailand for 1 year?
Answer: Yes! I absolutely love Thailand, the culture, the people, the food – everything! I am ready to live in Thailand as Miss Grand International 2022.
How Do You Define Success?
Answer: My idea of success is being happy. Whatever I choose to do, my main focus is that I feel happy and fulfilled. That is the most important thing to me!
Why should you be the next Miss Grand International winner?
Answer: I am a strong speaker and I have important advocacy that helps people especially children from around the world. If I had a strong team like Miss Grand International behind me, I can help even more people. I am reliable, responsible, and ready to work.
