Last night, Miss Universe JKN Group alongside the CEO of the Miss Universe pageant Miss Anne Jakrajutatip made an announcement about the additional executive members who will be responsible for the management of the upcoming Miss Universe 2023 beauty pageant alongside President Paula Shugart and Chief Executive Officer Amy Emmerich. Here are the new executive members of Miss Universe 2023 management.

Nishita Shah – Head of Global Strategy and Partnerships
She is an Indian Billionaire and Chief Executive offer of a multinational conglomerate and public company and Board Director with over 15 years of experience driving business turnarounds and spearheading investment opportunities in a variety of industries such as logistics, pharmaceuticals, aviation, and technology across Asia, Africa, and the Middle East. Adept a fostering beneficial, partnerships, evaluating company performance, driving improvements, performing due diligence, spearheading M&A transactions, leading negotiations and post-integration initiatives, and ensuring sustainable business growth through business transformation procdeuresBorad-based expertise including strategic planning, includes problem resolution, outscouring, HR process improvement, executive mentoring, fiduciary oversight, and corporate governance. An award-winning member holding multiple regional and international positions with the Young Presidents’ Organization. Dedicated to building effective relationships and providing support to stakeholders, senior management teams, and the board of directors. Nishita is based in New York and Bangkok.



Dr. James Mabey – Head of Global Franchising and Experiences
Over the last fifteen years, Dr. James Mabey has led and managed hotel and real estate projects in over thirty-six countries leveraging his diverse communication skills in English, Mandarin, Thai, Laotian, and Spanish. James has spent his career alongside multiple developers and hotel operators executing deals that involve every aspect of real estate from strategy development, and asset management to operations. Some of his most outstanding projects include the late world-renowned architect Zaha Hadid’s tallest building the Jumeirah Nanjing, and the development of the Niccolo Brand and its flagship the Murray Hong Kong. The W Ubud Bali and finally the recent opening of the new Standard Huruvalhi Maldives Resort. James has negotiated more than 300 franchise agreements in 28 countries managing over 40 billion dollars worth of franchise assets. Nearly a hundred of these franchise agreements that he negotiated have been with governments. James is a professor of strategy for hospitality at Hong Kong Polytechnic University. He holds a doctorate in hospitality in tourism management, which means going from country to country and negotiating with the governments on how to support this as a tourism and branding initiative. James’ expertise will be leveraged in localizing the systems and getting the governments on board to support them.

Natalie Frank – Head of Global Operations
Founded, led, and successfully exited 2 startups, and contributed to 3 exits in addition to serving on 3 startup boards over the last 15+ years. A strategic and results-oriented leader with a proven record of leveraging technology to grow revenue and optimize operations. An analytical and strategic problem solver with an emphasis on operations finances and sales processes in high-growth companies. Natalie is a recognized leader in Digital Transformation and Connected Work. Successful track record leading teams and launching new companies and products within fast-growing, entrepreneurial environments in the high technology sectors.

– Operations (forecasting, inventory planning and management, international and domestic e-commerce and wholesale distribution, order management, ERP / Technology, logistics, overseas and domestic manufacturing, and vendor management.)

Fred Mouawad – Honorary Advisor
Fred Mouawad is a global citizen, portfolio entrepreneur, and founder of Synergia One Group of Companies. Synergia One is the entity that groups all the companies he founded including the family jewelry business, Mouawad of which he is the fourth generation.
The group operates in 16 countries across several industries that encompass gems and jewelry with Mouawad, diamond manufacturing with Premier Diamond Alliance, food manufacturing with Synova, software as a service with Taskworld, publishing with SmartWork Media, and video-on-demand with CI Talks. From 1997 to 2017 founded and led Global Franchise Architects – a food service company with five brands that expanded to 240 stores throughout 7 countries. With his experience in incubating and growing several ventures internationally and managing systems that support each of the individual companies while simultaneously seeking synergies across the portfolio. Fred grew up in Geneva, Switzerland where he attended boarding school at College du Leman. He received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Pepperdine University. He is a Graduate Gemologist from the Gemological Institute of America, an alumnus of the Harvard Business School (MBA 1995), and the Stanford Executive Program (SEP 2012) at the Stanford Graduate School of Business. Fred is a YPO member, Co-founder of the YPO ASEAN United and SEA Angels Chapters, Co-Chair of the YPO Stanford GSB Program since 2014, Co-Chair of the YPO INSEAD Global Family Enterprise Program since 2019, and served as YPO Southeast Asia Regional Chair FY 2017-19. He is the recipient of the YPO Alexander Cappello Award in 2016 and 2020 and was the YPO Southeast Asia Regional Honoree for the Hickok Distinguished Service Award. Fred is also part of the Family Business Network in Asia and in 2018 he joined the Harvard Business School Global Advisory Board.
