Get to know the Miss India 2023 Top 30 finalists

After a two-year hiatus, the selection process for the competition was done although the audition to the final will be held physically in person. In addition the grand finale will be held in April 2023 at Imphal, Manipur, each contestant from 29 states (including Delhi) and a collective representative for all Union Territories (including Jammu and Kashmir), adding up to 30 participants will compete for the title.

Previously Miss World India 2022 Sini Sadanand Shetty of Karnataka will crown her successor who will represent India at Miss World 2024. Following this,Rubal Shekhawat of Rajasthan and Shinata Chauhan of Uttar Pradesh will crown their successors as the 1st and 2nd runners-up respectively. Miss India History

The Femina Miss India is the most prestigious and oldest-running Indian beauty pageant founded in 1952. Femina Miss India has managed to achieve six Miss World winners in 1966, 1994, 1997, 1999, 2000, and 2017, three Miss Universe winners in 1994, 2000, and 2021 with many other minor pageant winners. Femina Miss India 2023 will be the 59th edition of the Femina Miss India beauty pageant.

 

Andhra Pradesh Gomathy Reddy

Gomathy is a skilled software developer and model. Despite facing life’s challenges, she maintains a positive outlook. She firmly believes that women can shatter the shackles of patriarchy by recognizing their strength, and she is determined to break stereotypes and serve as an inspiration to others.

 

Miss Arunachal Pradesh Tara Puniya

While pursuing her degree in textile engineering, Tana grew a passion for fashion and modeling. However, working as a professional model, she faced many ups and downs but managed to bounce back better and stronger. She believes in hard work, and by being here and competing in this pageant, she has set foot on the right platform to achieve her goals.

 

Miss Assam Anushka Lekharu

Anushka of Assam, who has pursued her Master’s in Literature, has spent an eternity living, learning, and growing in the city. Belonging to the ethnic groups, she always nurtured the state’s cultural heritage. And having experienced the stigma of sexual harassment and violence, she desires to become a voice for the unheard breaking shackles.

 

Miss Bihar Tanu Shree

Tanu, who graduated in fashion design, works as a model and recently launched her swimwear brand with her mother by her side. Growing up, she was an extremely shy kid who avoided being on the center stage, but as she grew up realized the value of standing out and living her dreams.

 

Miss Chhattisgarh Aditi Sharma

Aditi’s early education was in a Hindi-medium school, making it a challenge to speak English initially. As a result, she was afraid of public speaking, but she refused to let that hold her back and hopes to use this platform to inspire young girls from small towns as an example that their dreams need not be small because of where they were born.

 

Miss Delhi Shreya Poonja

Shreya, who at 19 won the national contest Campus Princess 2019, is fiercely independent yet very humble and sensitive at heart. Along with her graduation, she started working as an actor and model and is now working to develop a brand. She never conforms to stereotypes and strives to break barriers to living the life of her dreams on her terms‌.

 

Miss Goa Victoria Fernandes

Goan beauty Victoria with a degree in Mass Media works as an Account Executive with an Advertising Firm. Growing up, she was backed with responsibilities and challenges to set an example and make her family proud. Her humble background instilled in her the virtue of being kind and giving, so she dedicates her time to community service once a week.

 

Miss Gujarat Simran Ajitsingh Saini

Meet Simran, the vivacious Punjabi kudi from Gujarat, a fiercely independent model and actor determined to be an inspiration. She believes in being the voice for the voiceless, especially animals. She donates in her small way towards feeding the strays and is involved with NGOs providing education to those in need.

 

Miss Haryana Meharmeet Kaur

Meharmeet, a 23-year-old software engineer from Amritsar, is dedicated to digital transformation and automation. As a child, Meharmeet aspired to be Miss India and Miss World; however, external obstacles impeded her dream. Nevertheless, despite setbacks, she remained resolute and worked tirelessly to fulfill her ambition.

Miss Himachal Pradesh Nikeet Dhillon

Nikeet, currently pursuing her degree in Tourism, is also an actress by profession. She faced challenges following her father’s demise, gave up on her dream of pursuing higher education abroad, took responsibility for her family, and someday hopes to be a guide and tool to educate underprivileged children.

 

Miss Jharkhand Kushmandvi Sharma

Kushmandvi has been academically brilliant and enthusiastically involved in extracurricular activities. She spent the last four years in Kota, Rajasthan, preparing for her NEET entrance exam and was able to crack it on her first attempt bagging a 100% scholarship and is currently pursuing her 1st-year MBBS from Symbiosis medical college for women, Pune.

 

Miss Karnataka Megan Edward

Currently pursuing her Bachelor’s in Sociology, Megan is also a freelance model. Her various leadership roles and significant travel around the world exposed her to people from all walks of life. She believes that life is a celebration of differences and that we are all interconnected.

 

Miss Kerala Christeena Biju

Christeena, who is currently pursuing her graduation in BA from Delhi University, is an established model and actor. Being an army brat, she was imbibed with patriotism like her father and wishes to be called India one day with her strong vision. She believes in celebrating the smallest of victories as it encourages her to strive hard.

 

Miss Madhya Pradesh Pratika Saxena

Pratika has been extremely passionate about everything she takes under her wings. She believes in living in a world free from pollution, so she travels on her bicycle wherever she goes and encourages others to do so. She completed her first 100 km Brevet Populaire last year and cycles at least 30 km daily.

 

Miss Maharashtra Apurva Chavan

Born and raised in Pune, Apurva is a B.Tech Engineer currently working as a Sr. Talent Acquisition Specialist with a US-based firm. She believes knowledge can be found everywhere and constantly learns from her peers and mentors. She is always exploring for inspiration, perspective, and vision and keeping sight of her dream of becoming an entrepreneur.

 

Miss Manipur Thounaojam Strela Luwang

Hailing from Manipur, Thounaojam was diagnosed with epilepsy very young due to stress and anxiety induced by bullying; she feels that mental health is as important, if not more, than physical health. As a result, she is now an avid messenger of mental health.

 

Miss Meghalaya Irene Dkhar

Born and raised in Meghalaya, Irene is pursuing her Bachelor’s Degree in English. She admires the theatre world and is also passionate about cooking and sports. She is deeply concerned with the mental health of humankind, especially with youth, and works daily to voice and spread the word about Mental Health Matters.

Miss Mizoram C. Lalhmangaihzuali

Raised by a single mother, C.Lalhmangaihzuali started modeling to support herself and her family from a young age. Today, she is among Mizoram’s top models, leading actors, and influencers. Currently pursuing her Bachelor’s in Education, she loves challenging herself and is her competition.

 

Miss Nagaland Ezhotou Keyho

Born and raised in a small town in Nagaland, Ezhotou is a cheerful, optimistic, and determined woman pursuing her degree in Political Science. She is enthusiastic about modeling, singing, and volleyball and aspires to work toward society’s well-being and development.

 

Miss Odisha Janvi Soni

Janvi discovered her interest in beauty pageants while traveling the world and learning about other cultures, which added to her enthusiasm. She tried her luck last year and made it to the state finals but could not be the state winner. However, she did not lose hope, returned with complete confidence, and won the title of Femina Miss India Odisha 2023.

 

Miss Punjab Shyna Choudhary

Hailing from Punjab, Shyna is a professional model who loves to explore the field of acting. She emphasizes physical and mental health as a sports enthusiast and a fitness freak and also works with an NGO to help people in need, as she believes that the quality of one’s life is measured by the quantity one gives to society.

 

Miss Rajasthan Nandini Gupta

As a child, Nandini excelled in organizing and hosting various extracurricular activities and events. This experience inspired her to pursue a degree in Business Management. She is a fighter and recognizes that challenges will inevitably arise but is prepared to confront them head-on by embracing failures and setbacks as learning opportunities.

 

Miss Sikkim Zaanvii Sharma

Zaanvii, who hails from the beautiful state of Sikkim, loves meeting new people and learning about different cultures. Currently pursuing her BA in Theatre Studies, Psychology, and English Literature, Zaanvii loves art and someday wishes to travel and see every part of the world.

Miss Tamil Nadu Karunya Mohanasundaram

Karunya Mohanasundaram is a multifaceted individual with impressive skills and is a doctor by profession. She has always emphasized education and personal development, which led to a remarkable 95% improvement in her CBSE grades, culminating in acceptance into medical school.

 

Miss Telangana Urmila Chauhan

Urmila is a seeker of everything she believes in, from conquering the skies to visualizing winning the prestigious national pageant of Miss India. A nurturer by heart, she finds solace in fulfilling the responsibilities of her job. Her interests include gardening, painting, horse riding, watching tv, traveling, and crafting.

 

Miss Tripura Nabanita Bhattacharjee

Nabanita was an introvert as a youngster and expressed herself through yoga and dancing as she grew up. These artistic mediums and volunteer work taught her the most important lessons about courage and curiosity. Today she has the bravery to accomplish anything and wants to inspire and uplift other women who lack the confidence to pursue their passion.

 

Miss Union Territory Navya Naveen Kalra

Growing up in a family of doctors, Navya believes in selfless service toward others. She is currently pursuing her internship for the degree of Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from a premier government medical institute and aspires to be an ophthalmologist. Her vision is a happy and healthy future for the children.

 

Miss Uttar Pradesh Tanya Sharma

Tanya aspires to be a psychologist to help people cope with mental health issues. She ventured into the entertainment industry as a child actor and started modeling at 10. When it comes to achieving her goals, Tanya firmly believes that she can overcome any challenge with a clear objective in her mind and heart.

 

Miss Uttarakhand Ameesha Basera Hailing from the beautiful valley of Dehradun, Ameesha Basera is a Software Engineer. At 17, she made the tough decision to move halfway across the world and pursue higher education. She left the country but never her values. With her feat as the state winner, she steps closer to her dream of being called India on the World stage.

 

Miss West Bengal Shaswati Bala

Shaswati, born and brought up in a family of doctors and engineers, is the first to pursue a design degree. While designing clothes and styling herself for her college assignments, she developed a passion for modeling. And despite being a bit skeptical initially, her dedication led her parents to support her dreams.
