Top 15 Miss Universe Philippines 2023 First Prediction

Miss Universe Philippines 2023 will be the fourth edition of the Miss Universe Philippines competition. The coronation night will be held on 13 May 2023, at the SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay, Metro Manila, Philippines. The beautiful and charismatic queen Celeste Cortesi of Pasay will crown her successor at the end of the event. The new winner will represent the Philippines at the Miss Universe 2023 competition, scheduled to be held in El Salvador at the end of 2023. Overall, thirty-eight stunning ladies from all across the nation have come together to be the next Miss Universe Philippines and bring glory to their country. This Top 15 list is conducted after watching their performance on the videos, social media, and previous experience. Here are our First Prediction of the Miss Universe Philippines 2023 beauty pageant.


15 Sorsogon – Rein Hillary Carrascal

She is 25 years old and she loves to perform arts, host events, walk on the runway and do outdoor sports such as jamborettes and rover moots. Rein is an advocate of the Hapi Life Project which plans to support underprivileged people living in isolated villages located in geographically challenged and impoverished areas such as Magallanes, and Sorsogon. Rein has many titles and crowns behind her as she has been competing at many local beauty pageants including Generation East Sta. Lucia Malls – Grand Winner, Mutya ng Casiguran Sorsogon 2017, Daragang Magayon 2018, Mutya ng Taguig 2018, Miss Bicolandia 2019 (1st-runner up), Mutya ng Ibalong 2019 (1st-runner up). Her joyful and cheerful personality is enduring and captivating aura makes her one of the most loved delegates in this year’s competition.


14 Eastern Samar – Airissh Ramos

She is 26 years of age beauty who lives a humble life in Eastern Samar. She describes herself as caring, empathetic, and filled with generosity. Aririssh has been involved with Adopt A Family Program: Merry Salo-Salong Handog sa Pasko 2022 to help the local people in her hometown. She provides entrepreneurship seminars to help boost the economy and lifestyle of her fellow netizen. She enjoys giving back to the community through non-profit organizations like Elders of Arteche in Partnership with San Ramon Nonnatus Perish, Project Love Lives, One Cainta, UAE Food Bank, and many other projects. Airissh is a mental health advocate who is currently the health ambassador of the Centre for Empowerment and Development in Eastern Visayas. Due to her incredible humanitarian work, she has been awarded Social Business Creation Top 20 Most Impactful Social Business Idea Awards which was held in Montreal, Canada. She has previously won Bb. Silangang Samar Turismo 2021, Miss Arteche 2021 and Miss Pintados 2022 1st Runner-up.


13 Agusan del Norte – Jannarie Zarzoso

She is a survivor of Psoriasis and when she overcame those barriers, it gave her the motivation and determination to believe in herself. Despite being a dark horse in the competition, she was shining in her HER STORY video where she shared her journey and that makes her stand out. She is an example of a brave, resilient, and strong woman who has learned from her struggles and aspires to inspire other people through her actions. In the coming days, she might pull a surprise and even win the whole thing!


12 Baguio – Krishnah Marie Gravidez

She is a breadwinner and business savant with a heart of gold. This youth advocate believes in listening to the problems the young generation is facing to combat those issues and find a useful solution. Growing up she faced financial difficulties, which has helped her to value the importance of education as a tool to end poverty. As the breadwinner of her family, she has been working relentlessly to provide the best quality of life for her loved ones. She studies Civil Engineering at Saint Louis University. Recently she was crowned as the regional winner of Miss Bagiou 2022 which gave her the confidence to move forward in life and pageantry. Her future goal is to help the future generation of the Philippines by giving them adequate education which will help them open doors for literacy empowerment and financial independence.


11 Quezon City – Mary Eileen Gonzales

She is 27 years old and she was the first single mom to win the title of Miss Global Philippines 2018. After the JKN Miss Universe pageant allowed single mothers and married women to compete at their international pageant. It has given an opportunity for women like Mary to have a platform to raise their voices and be a great example for other single mothers who have a difficult time raising children on their own. After being selected into the Top 38 she expressed her gratitude and inspirational message on her social media: “I want to convey that being a single mom will not stop you from getting your dreams. Especially if you have something to share that can help others. Just continue, and live your dreams”. Mary works as a professional actress, model, entrepreneur, influencer, and beauty queen who is a front-runner for the title. A pageant veteran who has won many titles like Miss Global Philippines 2018 crown. Mary is the definition of a transformational leader as she works towards empowering and helping single parents through Love Mary Project a non-profit organization. It works towards providing financial support to solo parents to make them feel authorized. Her inspirational story is relatable to many people who have gone through similar struggles and help them feel powerful.


10 Quezon Province – Lesly Joy Sim

On becoming the national contestant at Miss Universe Philippines 2023, Lesly took to her official social media as she wrote, “I still couldn’t believe my eyes while seeing this photo of myself as one of the official candidates for the @themissuniverseph 2023. Oras na para ipagsigawan ang adbokasiya para sa kabataan. Ika nga ng mga kasamahan ko sa National Youth Parliament, Youth Leader naman para sa Miss Universe PH. This is Lesly Sim, your Miss Universe Philippines, Quezon Province!”

Through her efforts, Lesly wants to help children grow in a happy and healthy environment. She has the looks, good communication skills, and a charming personality to take her far in the competition.


9 Bulacan- Princess Anne Marcos

At a young age, she was diagnosed with severe scoliosis and she had to wear a back brace until she had to undergo spinal surgery. Growing up in a farmer’s family she learned about agriculture and it has led her to start her project to uplift the farmers of Bulacan. Through her advocacy, her vision is to connect the producers with the consumers. She wants to focus on an agri-tourism site in Bulacan that kids can visit to learn more about agriculture and help them understand sustainable agriculture to benefit future generations. Her NGO, Iyong Tanglaw Foundation, is to give scholarships to young Bulakenyos because she believes in the importance of education to boost agriculture, engineering, or community service.


8 Cavite – Samantha Alexandra Panlilio

A former Miss Grand Philippines title holder, she has won the hearts of thousands of international and local pageant fans. Her drive to never give up on her dreams and chase her goal is a testament that she is not afraid to go outside her comfort zone. Samantha has a fun personality full of life and energy, watching the HER STORY video was a joyful experience. It was professionally captured and narrated documentary-style video. Samantha is a great storyteller who provides insightful and educational information about her hometown for tourists to visit the historical capital city of the Philippines. An advocate of sustainable agriculture, she wants to empower the farmers of Cavite to truly encapsulate their products to reach the global audience through visionary marketing and smart methods. She emphasizes the importance of taking care of our mental health, she recently went through hard times of losing loved ones and feeling disappointed for not achieving placement at the international pageant. She learned that transformation needs to be had to survive. Life will go on and she needed to fight and become a better version of herself.


7 Pasig – Kali Navea-Huff

Kali Navea-Huff is a law student, host, and mentor. From beauty queen mentor to beauty queen herself, Kali aims to amplify her cause against Gender-Based Violence. She is a great communicator with extraordinary speaking skills and with bold personality who has helped train beauty queens and now it is her time to show a transformational leader. With National Women’s Month in her country, Kali wishes to use her voice to encourage a movement of Women and Everyone against Gender-Based Violence #WEagainstGBV. “The theme for this year’s celebration is a reminder that it’s not just women, but everyone, that has a role to play in achieving gender equality and inclusive society. The first step towards inclusion is awareness. And we can start by talking about, and understanding, our own SOGIE and how that plays a part in our identity – how important it is to us, how it shapes our outlook on the world, and why it deserves to be celebrated!”, she quotes. An impressive background with outstanding public speaking ability makes Kali one of the strongest delegates for the title of Miss Universe Philippines 2023. 6 Zambales – Christine Juliane Opiaza

She participated at Binibining Pilipinas 2022. Currently, she is working as a Freelance model and host in the Philippines. She is Mental Health Advocate who is Partnering with Dear Futureself Philippines to help champion breadwinners. A great stage performer who stole everyone’s attention during Binibining Pilipinas, this time around Christine has worked on her communication skills, and watching HER STORY video shows the simple yet charming personality which touches the hearts of the viewers.


4 Cebu Province – Emmanuelle Vera

She is an actress and singer-songwriter, and she can dance. Winner of Reinahispano Americana Filipinas 2021 and Reinahispano Americana 2021 3rd Runner-Up. Her soft and captivating voice is pleasant to hear and it will inspire many people through her words and actions. Her advocacy, purpose, substance, inspiration, communication skills, face, body, and captivating aura. Emmanuelle was inspired to make music and fell in love with it while studying at Jimmy Antiporda’s School of Music. A Filipina singer, songwriter, model, actor, and former contestant of the Voice of the Philippines who expresses herself through creativity form of music. During her acting career, she played the antagonist character of Diana Rosales in the musical television show 1DOL. She was also one of the main cast of Shoutout!, a youth-oriented variety show. She also appeared in numerous television shows such as Maalaala Mo Kaya and 100 Days to Heaven. She also has a huge list of singles as an added feather to an accomplished path. As Emmanuelle had stated before, she is targeting the Miss Supranational crown due to her being over age for the Miss Universe contest. 3 Pampanga – Mary Angelique Manto

Being an influencer, Manto is well-spoken and outgoing. Her strong personality and confidence make her a strong contender for the national crown. She is a strong advocate of mental health and is a part of Mental Health Philippines. The organization aims to provide access to mental health tools for the community. These self-care kits are a collection of the team’s story, the personal pain that brought them together, and the hope they found in each other, which they want other people to experience too. “From providing support at the height of the pandemic through virtual spaces to reaching even those who have no access online with restrictions finally easing. Today is yet another step closer to a mentally healthy community. @mentalhealthph signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to officially launch our partnership with DOH to encourage behavioral and mindset change among various target audiences through the development of the self-care kits and their integration into health promotion tools provided to Local Government Units through the Centers for Health Development”, she wrote as she unlocked another accomplishment.


2 Bohol – Pauline Amelinckx

Pauline has gained her bachelor’s degree in International Studies and a major in European Studies at the Cebu Doctors’ University in Mandaue City, Cebu Province. Since her childhood, she has excelled in her education and her quick wit and charming personality made fan favorite for Miss Universe Philippines 2023 title. An advocate of art and creating a children’s coloring book to raise awareness in kids, from an earlier age, regarding environmental conservation and spreading awareness to preserve our mother earth from global warming for the future generation. Growing up surrounded by beautiful nature, sustainable livelihood is an important cause close to her heart and she is vocal about using eco-friendly materials on daily basis to minimize the carbon footprint. A pageant veteran who has achieved many local titles like Miss Bohol and many others. This is her third time competing for the Miss Universe Philippines title after 2020 when she finished as 3rd Runner-Up to Rabiya Mateo, the second time she joined Miss Universe Philippines 2020 she won Miss Universe Philippines Charity 2022. Her never give up attitude and determination shows that she possesses the Transformational Leadership quality, the new JKN Miss Universe is looking for in their winner. Her recent HER STORY video is a great example of her capability of narrative and storytelling proficiency making her a great spokeswoman and tourism ambassador for her hometown Bohol. 1 Makati City – Michelle Daniela Marquez Dee

Michelle was born in Makati City, Metro Manila, Philippines on April 24, 1995, to businessman and former actor Frederick “Derek” Dee and to actress, author, former supermodel, and beauty queen Melanie Marquez, who was previously Miss International 1979. She is of Chinese descent from her father. She grew up loving farm animals and enjoying the countryside, both in Utah and in her family’s hacienda in Mabalacat, Pampanga, Philippines. She attended De La Salle University in Manila, Philippines, and graduated with a degree in psychology. She competed at Miss World 2019 in London where she finished as the Top 10 semifinalist. While growing up with two autistic siblings, has made her empathetic toward people with special needs. It has inspired her to work with children with autism as the Goodwill Ambassador for Autism Society Philippines since 2019. She aspires to solve or help get the message across to people with autism. She has founded a series of businesses such as Drip Therapy Co., WHATFUTURE, and INVIRO INC. That focus on health, multi-media creation, and WEB3 adoption respectively. She is also the President of Inner Peace Foundation, which was founded in 1981 by her grandmother Regina Dee (former director of Chinabank Corporation for over 20 years) and has since taken charge after her father’s accident. Last year Michelle joined Miss Universe Philippines 2022 where she placed as the 1st Runner-Up to Celeste Cortesi. Her previous accomplishments and her relatability showing her vulnerable side make her a transformative leader. She is more than ready to represent the Philippines at the international pageant and her performance at Miss Universe Philippines 2022 has earned the hearts of many people.
