On 4 April 2023, Miss Universe Canada Amelia was awarded Beauty Influencer of the Year 2023. During the 2023 influencer economy forum & the BEMY influencer award ceremony took place in Los Angeles, California in the United States of America. It was revealed that Miss Universe Canada Amelia Tu has ranked 7th place overall out of 84 delegates in the 71st edition Miss Universe 2022 beauty pageant held in New Orleans in the United States. Becoming the first Chinese Canadian woman to reach the Top 10 finalist achievement in the international pageant.

During an Instagram live chat, Miss Universe Colombia 2022 Marรญa Fernanda Aristizรกbal was interacting with her fans answering questions. Meanwhile, Natalie Ackermann who is the National Director for Miss Universe Germany and former Miss Universe Germany 2006 confirmed that the Miss Universe organization told them, Miss Colombia Maria placed 6th position overall in the Miss Universe 2022 pageant. However, the Colombian people and the Miss Universe Colombia organization are not happy with the results, protesting against her Top 10 placement
