Miss Grand Paraguay 2023 is the sixth edition of the Miss Grand Paraguay which was held on 2 April, 2023, at the Paseo Events Center, Asunción. Miss Grand United States Paraguayan communities Maelia Salcines was crowned as the winner of Miss Grand Paraguay 2023. She will represent Paraguay at the upcoming Miss Grand International 2023 held on 25 October 2023 at Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. Maelia is a 28-year-old beauty queen who works as a professional author and model standing at the height of 166cm 5 feet 5.5 inches tall hailing from the United States of America. At the same event, Miss Grand Amambay Sharon Capó Nara was crowned as Miss Grand Paraguay 2024 and she has been confirmed to be the representative for the next edition of Miss Grand International 2024. Miss Supranational Paraguay 2023 went to Miss Villarrica Fabiola Martínez who will represent Paraguay at the 14th Edition Miss Supranational 2023 contest in Poland on 14 July 2023, Guadalupe Pereira from Mariano Roque Alonso, and Valeria Giagni from Central was awarded as 1st Runner-Up and 2nd Runner-Up respectively. In addition, Miss Petite Paraguay 2023 went to Miss Nueva Italia Abigail Gómez and 1st Runner Up to Miss General Elizardo Aquino Melina Marecos.
Candidates chosen through either the regional pageants or national preliminary casting will compete for the title. The contest’s winner will be crowned by Miss Grand Paraguay 2022, Agatha Leon of Ciudad del Este, and gain the right to represent the country at Miss Grand International 2023, to be held in Vietnam on October 25. After the end of the Miss Grand Paraguay 2022 contest in May 2022, the pageant organizer, MGM Productions, consequently announced to accept of the department licensees responsible to held a regional contest to elect the representative and also ran the first central casting on 17 September, to select the national finalists for the 2023 edition of the contest, each of finalists qualified through the casting was later assigned to represent one of the country’s administrative divisions. National finalists for the Miss Grand Paraguay 2023 pageant were either; (1) selected by local organizers entitled by the national committee to elect their regional candidates, or (2) directly chosen by the national organizer through the casting events, then each qualified candidate was later assigned to represent one of the country’s administrative divisions.
