Bangkok, Thailand – The outgoing Miss Supranational 2019 Anntonia Porsild has confirmed to join Miss Universe Thailand 2023 pageant. The soft-spoken, humble, and kind beauty queen made sure to make the most of her journey and help as many people as possible. Even in times of crisis, Anntonia has been trying her best to carry out the crown duties as much as she can while maintaining the safety norms in the community. She was scheduled to travel and visit other countries around the world and attend glamorous events but the pandemic outbreak has halted everything in the world she wasn’t able to travel or attend events but the pandemic couldn’t stop the beauty queen from doing what she hoped to do in the first place. A very recent cryptic post of hers which was captioned, “Remember me, because this will not be the last time you say my name,” has sparked a fire of assumptions and rumors claiming that the queen is all set for another pageant journey and to Miss Universe Thailand 2023 which was later confirmed.
Who is Anntonia Porsild?
Anntonia is 26 years-old Thai-Danish beauty who is currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree program, Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Public Relations, Advertising, and Applied Communication from the Stamford International University in Bangkok, Thailand, and advocates for body positivity. In 2019, she won the national pageant and represented Thailand at the Miss Supranational beauty pageant in Poland. Anntonia impressed the judges with her phenomenal performance and outspoken communication skills, resulting in her being crowned as the winner of Miss Supranational 2019. She made history by becoming the first Thai woman to clinche this international title. With her initiative, she has already helped millions of girls all over the world. She is one of the most loved beauty queens in the world due to her charming personality and down-to-earth approach to everything in life. Even though the ‘new normal’ prevented her from carrying out her crown duties, she did not stop following her heart and kept herself busy with a range of community activities after her country eased the Covid-19 restrictions. The diva intended to provide the necessities to the ones who needed the most during such times and called the current times an ‘eye opening’ and ‘realizing moment’. Anntonia’s current mission is to help with a fun-raising auction for an orphanage for disabled children as she has been working with for a long time. She is confident, strong, hardworking, and experienced.
Road to Miss Universe Thailand 2023
In April 2023, her team made a public announcement regarding, Anntonia’s participation at the Miss Universe Thailand 2023, backed up by her experience and support from the fans. According to her team, she will compete at the provincial pageant of Miss Universe Nakhon Ratchshima (Korat), the biggest land area and most influential province in the Northeastern region of Thailand. Her ambition was to win the third Miss Universe crown for Thailand after 35 long years since Porntip Nakhirunkanok Bui Simon won Miss Universe 1988 in Taipei, Taiwan. Anntonia has been active with her social project of helping orphans and children by providing educational materials to improve the quality of education in rural parts of Northeast Thailand. Her previous international victory has given her the confidence and experience of being a goodwill ambassador for peace and various social work. This will be the first time in Thai beauty pageant history for a grand slam pageant winner like Miss Supranational to compete in another international pageant. This news has many mixed reactions from the global fanbase regarding her participation in Miss Universe Thailand 2023.
