Winning Statement of Miss South Africa 2023 Natasha Joubert

I stand yet because I was given a second chance, a second chance at my dreams and goals, and as your next Miss South Africa, I pledge to work tirelessly for those in need of a second chance. South Africa is facing so many social issues and the base of this is education. Education should never be a privilege limited to the fortunate few. I know what it’s like to be financially excluded and I know many of my South Africans standing here tonight, know what it feels like. Standing here, I have already secured 1.2 million South African Rand in bursaries for those in need of a second chance. So tonight, I encourage government officials, people in positions of power to come together. So that we can give our generation an equal chance to education. So that we can propel this nation forward. Thank you so much.
