Miss Venezuela 2023 is the 70th Edition of Miss Venezuela pageant. This was held at the Centro Comercial Líder in Caracas, Venezuela on December 7, 2023. At the end of the event, Diana Silva of Distrito Capital crowned Ileana Márquez of Amazonas her successor as Miss Venezuela 2023. Ileana will represent Venezuela at Miss Universe 2024 pageant in Mexico.
The 27-year-old model and TV host is the first ever mother to compete in the national pageant’s 70-year history and she has made history as the first mother as Miss Venezuela winner. “Being a mother in my youth changed me as a person by having to face a society in which I did not fit into its standards, however in a positive way I matured, studied, worked, and moved forward,” Ileana said in her bio for Miss Venezuela. Also, Miss International 2023 Andrea Rubio of Portuguesa will crowned Sakra Guerrero of Guárico her successor as Miss Venezuela International 2024. She will represent Venezuela at the Miss International 2024 pageant in Japan.
Who is Miss Venezuela 2023 Ileana Márquez?
Miss Venezuela 2023 Ileana Márquez is 27 years old model and TV host. She is the first ever mother to win the Miss Venezuela crown in the 70 years history of the pageant. After having her daughter at 16, she decided to pursue a career in education to connect more with children. Currently, she is a university technician for special education students. She was born and raised in Valencia, Carabobo state.
Her greatest affections, the memories that she treasures the most and the warmth of its people will always have a special place in her heart, that is why it is and will be her favorite place, home. She says: “Being a mother in my youth changed me as a person by having to face a society in which I did not fit into its standards, however in a positive way I matured, studied, worked and moved forward.
