The Office of the Mayor of Bacolod City Mr. Albee Benitez just shared this news on his official page regarding Bacolod City, Philippines is interested to host the upcoming 62nd Edition of the Miss International 2024 beauty pageant. In the 61 years of the Miss International beauty pageant history, the Philippines has yet to be the host country.
Mr. Albee Benitez shared: I’m glad to have met Mr. Stephen Inventor-Diaz last May 2, 2023. He is the Chief of Staff of ICA, the producer and organizer of the Miss International Beauty Pageant. A tumandok of Bacolod City, he hopes to bring the international pageant to our beloved city. The Philippines has won six Miss International crowns including Gemma Cruz 1964, Aurora Pijuan 1970, Melanie Marquez 1979, Lara Quigaman 2005, Bea Santiago 2013, and Kylie Verzosa 2016 respectively. Binibining Pilipinas 2022 Nicole Borromeo from Cebu will represent the Philippines in the next edition of Miss International 2023 on October 26, 2023, in Tokyo, Japan. Her successor will participate at the 62nd Miss International 2024 rumoured to be held in Bacolod City, Philippines in late 2024.
