Quindío, Colombia – On 29 April, Luz Adriana López from Caqueta was crowned as Miss Earth Colombia 2023 winner. She competed against 10 other delegates from all around the country in the grand coronation event held at Centro de Convenciones Las Camelias in Montenegro, Quindío, Colombia. Miss Earth Colombia, Andrea Aguilera crowned Luz Adriana López as the new Miss Earth Colombia 2023. Marelis Salas Julio of Bolivar placed was awarded Miss Earth Air and Miss Intercontinental Colombia 2023. Marelis will represent Colombia in Miss Intercontinental 2023 later this year. Stephany Silva of Cauca was presented as Miss Earth Water and Miss Eco Colombia 2023. She will participate in Miss Eco International 2023 beauty pageant in Alexandria, Egypt. The Top 4 finalists were rounded up with Juliana Aristizábal of Quindío as Miss Earth Fire and Miss Environment Colombia 2023 and is expected to compete in Miss Environment International 2023.
Luz Adriana López is a 26-year-old environmental engineer from Serranía de Chiribiquete. She will now represent Colombia at the Miss Earth 2023 pageant to be held in Vietnam later this year. Miss Earth Colombia 2022 Andrea Aguilera crowned Luz Adriana López as her successor at the end of the event finale. Andrea represented Colombia at Miss Earth 2022 and was awarded Miss Earth Fire 2022 title at the finals in the Philippines last November. Colombia has not won the Miss Earth crown since its debut in 2001, the country has made it to the Top 4 four times. The other representatives who came close to taking home the crown were Michelle Gomez (Miss Air 2016), Juliana Franco (Miss Water 2017), and Valeria Ayos (Miss Water 2018).
