The stunning María Alejandra López Pérez is a 28-year-old beauty, standing at the towering height of 176cm 5 feet 9.5 inches tall. She has confirmed her participation in Miss Grand Colombia 2023 where she will be representing her hometown of Risaralda at the national contest. She is a pageant veteran with many years of beauty pageant experience as a former Miss World Colombia 2015, and 1st runner-up Miss Universe Colombia 2021. Maria was born in Pereira, Risaralda, Colombia. She studied Industrial Engineering at Sergio Arboleda University. A fluent speaker of Spanish, English, and French, Maria is fond of mathematics and the music of the late Colombian singer-songwriter Joe Arroyo. One fascinating fact is that Maria’s mother was also a beauty queen in the 90s and she has seemed to get the knowledge and guidance from a young age. The stunning Colombian beauty could be trying her third time at Miss Universe Colombia; she auditioned in 2020 but resigned due to personal reasons. In 2021, she re-entered the competition and with her stellar performance, she finished as the first runner-up.
Maria represented the province of Risaralda at Miss Colombia 2013 where she was placed as the second runner-up and later represented Colombia at the Reina Hispanoamericana 2013 international beauty pageant where she was crowned as the winner. This gorgeous queen also participated in Miss Mundo Colombia 2015 where she was crowned as the winner and got the opportunity to represent Colombia at Miss World 2015. Even though Maria was highly appreciated for her performance, she was unfortunately not placed. With her vast pageant experience, stunning beauty, and brilliant personality. Maria has great experience and knowledge from her background and she is now preparing to compete at the Miss Grand Colombia 2023 beauty pageant, in hopes of winning the first-ever golden crown for her country, Colombia. The highest placement for Colombia was Mónica Castaño who finished 4th Runner-Up at Miss Grand International 2014.
