Julia Marina Leong is appointed as Miss Grand Panama 2023

Panama City, Panama – Miss Grand Panama 2023 is Julia Marina Leong (@julialeongl ), a 26-year-old businesswoman, tourism ambassador, and master’s student from La Chorrera, Panamá Oeste province. She is bilingual and has a Bachelor’s degree in finance and international business. Currently studying project management. Julia Marina Leong was crowned as Miss Grand Panama 2023 by Laura Sofía De Sanctis Miss Grand Panama 2022. She will represent Panama at the 11th edition Miss Grand International 2023 beauty pageant on 25 October 2023 in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. Julia has been actively volunteering for the national association against cancer, and the Panama Joven Foundation and cares for the environment since she loves to serve and be available to the community. Julia is also an entrepreneur, athlete, and leader. Not new to pageantry, she was the queen of the Carnival of Panama 2020 and a participant in Miss Panama.

Panama began to participate in Miss Grand International in 2014, “Queens and Misters of Panama” is the first organization that obtained the right to send Panamanians to said contest. In 2019, Miss Panama (Señorita Panamá) got the franchise, and one of the Miss Panama finalists was crowned as “Miss Grand Panama” and hence represented their country at the prestigious international beauty pageant. Since 2020, Panama has appointed their Panamanian delegates without conducting a national contest.
