Hertfordshire, United Kingdom – The Miss Intercontinental Great Britain 2023 beauty pageant has selected British representatives for the upcoming Miss Intercontinental 2023 later this year. The Miss Intercontinental Great Britain 2023 pageant was held on Saturday, 15 April 2023 at The Radlett Centre in Radlett, Hertfordshire in the United Kingdom. Overall, nine delegates competed during the national pageant to win three titles of Miss Intercontinental England, Scotland, and Wales. The panel of judges included the reigning Miss Grand United Kingdom 2022, Sofia Mayers, former who placed Top 20 at Miss Grand International 2022, Miss Intercontinental Ireland Nadia Sayers, and Miss Intercontinental 1994 winner Kimberly Anne Byers from the United States of America.
Miss Intercontinental Great Britain 2023 Winners (Wales, England and Scotland)
The new winners included Georgia Urmson as Miss Intercontinental Wales 2023, Lana Taylor crowned as Miss Intercontinental England 2023, and Emily Merchant as Miss Intercontinental Scotland 2023. They will represent their respective countries as British delegates at the 51st Miss Intercontinental 2023 where the reigning queen of the Miss Intercontinental 2022 Le Nguyen Bao Ngoc of Vietnam will crown her successor by the end of the event. The rest of the nine delegates were Shannon Allslop, Mai Caring, Lauri Knowler, Elli May Sait, Deyonne Best, and Chiara-Francesca Fox. The national pageant is run by the previous Miss Intercontinental Europe 2021 Romy Odile Simpkins as the new National Director alongside Miss Atlantic UK 2023.

Miss Intercontinental Wales 2023 – Georgia Urmson

Title: Miss Intercontinental Wales
How did it feel to win? Surreal, and shocked! I had been dreaming about being an intercontinental queen for so long so when it finally happened I don’t think I knew quite what to do!
What was your favourite round? Normally swimwear is always my favourite round and evening wear is my least favourite. But to my surprise at intercontinental GB, evening round was my favourite as the music we had was so empowering and made you feel like a real boss queen!
What is your biggest goal during your year? I’d love to be able to put on some dance classes to bring the community together and get fit fighting for awareness of heart disease. My goal for internationals would be to place in the top 20! Anything higher would be a huge bonus.
Miss Intercontinental England 2023 – Lana Taylor

How did it feel to win?
It was such a surreal feeling, I felt so grateful, emotional and overwhelmed with happiness.
What was your favourite round?
I loved interview, the judges were so approachable, beautiful and lovely to talk to. I love speaking about my advocacies and platform.
What is your biggest goal during your year?
I’d love to complete as many fitness challenges in order to raise funds for charity and awareness about using exercise to combat mental health conditions, such as the Yorkshire three peaks challenge.
Miss Intercontinental Scotland 2023 – Emily Merchant

Title: Miss Intercontinental Scotland
How did it feel to win?
I was in complete shock when my name was announced as the winner ! I still can’t believe it now and don’t know if will ever sink in.
What was your favourite round?
I’d definitely have to say evening wear , I absolutely loved my dress.
What is your biggest goal during your year?
To double what I have raised for the charity smile train ! I raised £3000 during my time as a finalist and i’d like to double it by 2024.
