Australian company is the new owner of Miss Universe New Zealand and Miss Universe Singapore

Perth, Australia – Miss Sophia Barbagallo and Mr. Troy Barbagallo of Pink Tank Events have acquired the national franchise for Miss Universe Australia, Miss Universe New Zealand, and Miss Universe Singapore beauty pageants. The previous Singaporean company Derrol Stepenny Promotions with Valerie Lim as the National Director had managed to earn their Top 16 semi-finalist placement with Nandita Banna in Miss Universe 2021 after a 34-year drought. New Zealand is making a comeback after its participation with Diamond Langi in Miss Universe 2019. The previous Executive Director for the Miss Universe New Zealand pageant was Mr. Nigel Godfrey. On 9 April 2023, Pink Tank Events made a public announcement on their social media regarding their ownership of Miss Universe Australia, Miss Universe New Zealand, and Miss Universe Singapore beauty pageants.

“The MUA team is super excited to announce that our National Directors Troy & Sophia have been granted the Directorship for TWO new regions – SINGAPORE and NEW ZEALAND!! HOW EXCITING 👏✨ The Pink Tank Events team are thrilled to offer young women in these regions the same opportunities our Australian Finalists have enjoyed over nearly a decade via our prestigious platform – to connect and emerge with confidence, skills to empower them and elevate their career aspirations, long-lasting friendships, invaluable networks and memories to cherish for a lifetime ❤️💫 We are also excited to be able to connect our Australian, Singaporean and New Zealand Finalists during the prelim programs, to grow international connections and opportunities for all our Finalists on a global level.
