Vietnam – On 3 April 2023, Miss Grand International 2022 Queen Isabella Menin from Brazil wore gorgeous Vietnamese outfits and First Lady Miss Teresa attended the press conference of Miss Grand Vietnam and Miss Grand International 2023 at Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. During the Press Conference, the Vietnamese company announced the news of the upcoming international pageant. Miss Grand International 2023 will be the 11th edition of the Miss Grand International pageant, to be held on 25 October 2023, in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. This will be the second time Vietnam to host the contest; the first was in 2017 at the Vinpearl Convention Center on Phรบ Quแปc island. The winner of Miss Grand International 2022, Isabella Menin of Brazil will crown her successor at the end of the event. On 25 June 2022, the organizer of the Miss Grand International pageant, MGI PLC, announced on their official social media that the 11th edition of the contest was scheduled to be held in Vietnam on 20 October 2023, however, the final venue of the event has not been revealed yet.
The MOU signing ceremony between the MGI PLC and the local organizer Sen Vร ng Entertainment for the agreement to organize the contest later took place during the press conference of the inaugural edition of the Miss Grand Vietnam contest at Sofitel Saigon Plaza in Ho Chi Minh City on 7 June 2022, and the international press release was later conducted at Saigon South Marina Club on 5 July. As per the press conference additionally held on February 5, 2023, the Miss Grand International 2023 pageant will consist of six main sub-events, including the Best in Swimsuit contest, Vietnamese costume parade, closed-door interview, national costume contest, preliminary competition, and the grand final coronation night. However, the exact date of each event has not been revealed yet.
Miss Grand Vietnam 2023 will be the second edition of the Miss Grand Vietnam beauty pageant, scheduled to be held in Ho Chi Minh City on 26 August 2023. National finalists qualified through the casting process will compete for the right to represent the country at the Miss Grand International 2023 pageant, which will be held on 25 October, also in Ho Chi Minh City. In addition to the aforementioned international contest, some of the pageant’s finalists will also be sent to compete in other international pageants. The national finalists for the pageant will be directly selected by the organizer, no regional pageants were held to determine the province representatives. The primary screening will be done virtually, and the qualified candidates will later face the actual screening and interview in Ho Chi Minh City on July 15 to elect the final candidates. The press conference for the Miss Grand Vietnam 2023 pageant was arranged on 5 February 2023 in Ho Chi Minh City, in which the event organizer, Sen Vang Entertainment, stated that this year’s edition will consist of five main sub-events, including the Best in Swimsuit Contest, the Vietnam Fashion Festival, the National Costume Contest, the preliminary round, and the grand final coronation. However, the venue for each event was not yet revealed. In the same event, the schedule for the Miss World Vietnam 2023 and a newly established Miss National Vietnam 2023 pageant were also disclosed.
