Married women and mothers can enter Miss South Africa 2023

South Africa – On 20 March 2023, the CEO of the Miss South African beauty pageant – Stephaine Weil talked about the new changes we can expect from the upcoming edition. There have been significant improvements to the pageant making it inclusive for women from all walks of life. Under the stewardship of Stephanie Weil, Miss South Africa has blossomed into an organization that up-skills and shapes contestants into champions for women’s rights as leaders and brand ambassadors. Stephanie herself had her first involvement with the Miss SA Organisation was as their PR and event partner, having learned everything she knows about PR, communication, and events from her late mother, Suzanne who founded Nine Squared, a PR and Events company in 2011.


From 2023 onwards, Miss South Africa accepts married women and mothers to participate in their national pageant after the Miss Universe organization’s approval to embrace the feminity of womanhood as well as embrace change and acceptance. The age limit has been increased to 30, and the new age requirement is 20 to 30 years old. Miss South Africa still has the Miss Universe franchise and the winner of the 2023 edition will represent the rainbow nation at the 72nd Miss Universe in El Salvador. Entries are Online again this year. A video should be made and posted on any social media platform to talk about their background, achievements, and aspiration for the future. The keyword for this year’s competition is “Revolutionary” to show the real champion of a modern-day South African woman. There is a high possibility for a new crown will be introduced before the coronation event.
