Miss World Karolina Bielawska celebrates 1 Year Crowning Anniversary

London, UK – Today 16 March 2023 marks the 1st Anniversary of the 70th Edition Miss World 2021/22 Karolina Bielawska since her crowning moment was held in Puerto Rico last year. The originally scheduled date was on 16 December however it was postponed 3 months later due to the COVID-19 outbreak in Puerto Rico. Miss World 2019 Toni-Ann Singh of Jamaica crowned the stunning blonde hair beauty Karolina Bielawska from Poland as the 70th Anniversary Miss World winner. The event started with 97 delegates from around the world performing in different fast-track events including Head-to-Head Challenge, Talent, Top Model, Designer Dress, Sports, Multimedia, and Beauty with a Purpose. All the delegates rehearsed the choreography until the day before the final event scheduled on 16 December but due to the spread of COVID-19 in the venue. Miss World organization made the public decision to postpone the pageant 3 months later and only invite the Top 40 Quarter Finalists to perform in the final event.

The grand coronation night started with the Top 40 Finalists performing in colorful and vibrant national costumes from their respective nations. British singer Peter Andre and Mexican celebrity Fernando Allende were the presenters for the event adding a dash of personality to the stage. A live Puerto Rico Symphony Orchestra band performed a beautiful performance while the Top 40 walked in their gorgeous evening gowns created by local designers. The quarter-finalists were reduced to just the lucky Top 13 semi-finalists including delegates from Indonesia, Mexico, Poland, United States, Northern Ireland, Côte d’Ivoire, India, Colombia, Czech Republic, France, India, Philippines, Somalia, and Vietnam who was the winner of the Digital Media Challenge. Through Beauty with a Purpose established in 1972, the Miss World organization has a long legacy of humanitarian background which has helped raise millions of dollars to help save and service underprivileged people globally.

The winner of Beauty with a Purpose was awarded to Miss United States Shree Saini who has been involved with philanthropy since a young age and has been part of hundreds of different non-profit charitable organizations. Shortly after, the Top 6 finalists’ name was declared and candidates from Mexico, Indonesia, Northern Ireland, Poland, Côte d’Ivoire, and the United States performed in the dreaded question-and-answer round.
