 Confirmed: Thai Millionaire Anne Jakrajutatip own the Miss Universe organization

This morning JKN18 News group which is a national television company based in Thailand owned by Miss Anne Jakrajutatip has confirmed to be the first Thai person with 100% ownership of the Miss Universe organization. In the previous article, we posted about Miss Anne as one of the potential candidates to bid for the Miss Universe organization. Miss Anne has confirmed that she will be the owner of the Miss Universe organization from now onwards. Here is the caption from Thai where it says “Mother Anne Jakrajutatip is 100% confirmed! The first Thai person to own Miss Universe beauty pageant.” The JKN19 Global Group has paid IMG 700 Million Baht 20 million USD to buy the Miss Universe organization.

The owner will be Miss Anne but the President will continue with Paula Shugart and Vice President will be Shawn McClain and the winner of Miss Universe will stay in New York City during her reign. In 2015, IMG Worldwide received the Miss Universe organization from former US President Mr. Donald Trump. JKN posted on its website that they expect to generate income through merchandising and licensing fees and broadcasting fees. The plan is to spread the soft power to build a good reputation for Thailand to be known and outstanding around the world. The upcoming 71st edition Miss Universe 2022 pageant will be held in January 2023 in New Orleans, Louisiana United States.


Anne Jakrajutatip is a Thai transgender businessperson and Chief Executive Officer of JKN Global Media Public Company Limited. She started the Life Inspired For Transsexual Foundation (LIFT) to advocate for the rights to dignity and opportunities for transgender people. She had previously checked the legal paper works for Miss Universe during a live stream. There is a high possibility for Miss Anne to own Miss Universe as she has shown great interest for a long time. According to Forbes, she is the third richest transgender person in the world, with an estimated net worth of US$210 million (6.37 billion baht) in 2020.
