Miss Universe Switzerland – Alia Giundi
Age: 19 Height: 176cm (5 ft 9 inches)
Alia is 19 years old and stands at 176cm 5 feet 9 inches tall from Valais, Switzerland. She has Ukrainian and Egyptian background. Not a new face to the pageantry world, she has earlier pageant experience. Alia placed Top 6 finalist in Miss Suisse Francophone 2021 and Top Model Europe 2020 finalist. She will represent Switzerland at Miss Universe 2022 beauty pageant. Her classic European features with blonde hair and brown eyes and tall stature. Due to her Ukrainian ancestry, it would be nice to see her talk about the ongoing unrest in her home country on the prestigious international stage.
Miss Universe Panama – Solaris Barba
Age: 23 Height: 178cm (5 ft 10 inches)
She is a 23-year-old graduate from Instituto Justo Arosemena; specializing in business and currently studying marketing and international business. After her impressive placement at Miss World 2018 where she placed in semi-finalists and won Miss World Americas sub-title. The Miss Universe Panama organization appointed Solaris as the new representative for Panama on May 2022. In an official announcement ceremony, she was crowned as Miss Universe Panama 2022. Former Miss World Americas winner, she can use her previous experience to her advantage to move forward in the Miss Universe pageant. Experienced television host, she maintains an advanced level of communication skills and professionalism. Miss Panama is proving to be one of the most well-rounded delegates in this year’s competition, Panama placed Top 16 last edition with Andrea Smith Lezama, and the first and only Panamanian Miss Universe winner was back in 2002 with Justine Pasek.
Miss Universe Ecuador – Nayelhi González
Age: 26 Height: 177cm (5 ft 9.5 inches)
She is a nurse, model, and beauty queen coming from Esmeraldas, Ecuador. She has competed her higher education as she has Bachelor’s degree in nursing from the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Ecuador Sede Esmeraldas. She works as a part-time model and she wants to work as a professional model internationally. She was crowned Miss Universe Ecuador 2022. Her stunning face and attractive beauty will make her stand out in the Miss Universe 2022. Ecuador has never won the international crown, the closest was 2nd Runner Up placement with Constanza María Báez Jalil in 2013 edition.
Miss Universe Jamaica – Toshami Calvin
Age: 26 Height: 178cm (5 ft 10 inches)
She is a fashion model, beauty queen, and advocate for children with special needs. She graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Health Science from the University of Central Florida in the United States. She grew up with her cousins who have special needs, it has inspired her to work with children on the autism spectrum by providing them with therapy and guidance. She has been an active supporter of the Black Lives Matter movement to raise awareness about the importance of representation of black people in the western world.
Miss Universe Netherlands – Ona Moody
Age: 25 Height: 175cm (5 ft 9 inches)
Ona Moody is 25 years old and from Amsterdam, Netherlands; she was born to a Zimbabwean father and a Dutch mother. She work as a maternity nurse and attended the Lucia Marthas Institute for Performing Arts in Amsterdam. She is vocal about the importance of diversity and equal opportunities for everyone, regardless of skin color. She has relevant advocacy as the world is coming together due to globalization. A black woman will represent the Netherlands at the Miss Universe pageant. Miss Nederland is embracing the multicultural of the Dutch people.
Miss Universe Australia – Monique Riley
Age: 27 Height: 178cm (5 ft 10 inches)
This gorgeous Australian beauty is 27 years old and resides in the metropolitan city of Sydney, Australia. She is a model, actress, and executive assistant with a bachelor’s degree in creative industries from the Queensland University of Technology in Brisbane. She is now preparing to represent Australia at the 71st Miss Universe pageant.
Miss Universe Spain – Alicia Faubel
Age: 25 Height: 178cm (5 ft 10 inches)
She is 25 years old and represented her hometown Valencia at Miss Universe Spain 2022 beauty pageant. Student of acting and she works as a commercial model in Asia and Europe. She had formerly lived in the Philippines, where she learned how to speak the Tagalog language. Her love for acting has led her to act in Alicia DiSanto in General Commander, released in the United States. This captivating and gorgeous beauty is the Spanish representative at the upcoming Miss Universe 2022. There is a high possibility for Miss Spain to make the final cut at the finale night.
Miss Universe Baharain – Evlin Khalifa
Age: 24 Height: 172cm (5 ft 7.5 inches)
Elvin is born to a Bahraini father and a Russian mother. Professional model and pianist. She obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Finance and Banking and has also graduated in music, dancing, modeling, taekwondo, and comprehension. The format for the pageant was a designation process broadcast through an online series on Youtube. Panel of judges selected her as the new Miss Universe Baharain 2022. Life is a continuous learning process, as she believes knowledge is a powerful tool. Her future goal is to empower women through her story by sharing her value and proficiency to capability to support other women.
Miss Universe Slovakia – Karolina Michálčiková
Age: 23 Height: 168cm (5 ft 6 inches)
She is a make-up artist and has graduated from Human Resources and Personnel Management at the Alexander Dubček University of Trenčín in Trenčín, Slovakia. Her interests include painting, playing badminton, and cooking Italian cuisine in her spare time. Slovakia’s highest placement in Miss Universe was in 1994, with their first representative Silvia Lakatošová making it in the Top 6.
Miss Universe Trinidad and Tobago – Tya Jané Ramey
Age: 24 Height: 180cm (5 ft 11 inches)
She is an activist who advocates the incorporation of migrants into Trinidadian society and the improvement of their life quality during economic and social conflicts. She has a degree in social work and social policy from the University of the West Indies in St. Augustine, Trinidad and Tobago. During the university, she played volleyball and basketball sports to maintain a healthy lifestyle. Tya competed at Miss World 2019 where she placed Top 40 and won Miss World Caribbean 2019. Her exquisite beauty and outstanding humanitarian contribution towards her community will get noticed during the close-door interview at Miss Universe 2022. It is a crucial role for a beauty queen to offer more than just a pretty face and Tya understands the value and responsibilities.
